Normanby Hall

wedding photos at Normanby Hall

Normanby Hall is a classical Regency mansion set amongst 350 acres of beautiful Country Park near Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire. The main part of the Hall is made from attractive silver-grey Ancaster stone, whilst the east wing added later is in the ‘Edwardian Baroque’ style. A screen of Ionic columns in the entrance hall leads to an impressive staircase with cast iron balusters, lending an air of grandeur to this impressive building. It is one of North Lincolnshire’s most popular wedding venues and with good reason – this splendid mansion was once home to the former Dukes of Buckingham and the original owners of Buckingham Palace.

There are several options should you wish to hold your Civil Ceremony at Normanby Hall. The Regency Dining Room with its high ceilings, vast original windows and grand fireplace dressed with a cascade from the Walled Garden can seat up to 100 guests (140 for an evening reception) and makes a stunning setting for your ceremony and your wedding photographs. The Morning Room offers a more intimate setting (seating 30 people),yet still offers the high ceilings, original windows and traditional decoration that make Normanby Hall such a wonderfully picturesque setting for your wedding. Finally, the Sheffield Lounge is the smallest of the rooms on offer, being able to comfortably seat 24 people.

There are plenty of idyllic settings for your photographs in the grounds of Normanby Hall too – the Country Park is home to a wide variety of vistas, flowers and garden features such as ponds, floral archways, manicured lawns and unusual statues. There is even a Deer Park with herds of Redlands Fallow Deer set in the extensive woodland of Normanby Hall Country Park.

The memories that are created on your wedding day will be captured forever in your wedding photographs and there are no shortage of romantic locations for them to be taken at Normanby Hall.
