Sometimes these will be wedding pictures (if I've been at a wedding, it'll be difficult to take a picture of anything else), but most of the time they'll be fairly random. I didn't take enough time to take pictures for myself in 2009 and, because I'm dedicated to getting better and 'practice makes perfect' here's an outlet for my personal work, with a bit of added pressure. The year of rage against the machine beating the X Factor person (sorry, forgotten his name already), Michael Jackson left this mortal plane and, in possibly the most significant event of the decade, Big Brother finally finished!And on a more personal note, I got married and we had our first baby (yeah, I know, fast work) and had the priviledge of covering weddings from the cotswolds to the lake district, seeing a whole (civil!) service sing a beatles song, a wedding party riding a miniature train, a groom faint, heavy rainfall in August and glorious sunshine in December. Alex is a bit of an architecture buff, and you can tell by their choice of venues! St James's is a beautiful (and huge!) church in the centre of Louth and Louth Town Hall has a fantastic art deco interior (is Art Deco right Alex?) Anyone who was at the wedding knows the jokes I could make about the ceremony - 'he fell for her at the altar' etc.... but of course I won't. A big thank you to Ian Bursill for accompanying me on this wedding, with some uncertainty about when Oli was going to arrive (and in the end, some sleep deprivation), it was great having Ian there to help out. Janine and Andrew also hold the record for the largest number of children at a single wedding, I think there were about 600 hundred there and I'm sure more appeared each time I looked!
