Carl is the brother of Lee, whose wedding I photographed in 2010 – despite meeting Carl at Lee’s wedding we didn’t actually meet when Carl and Amy booked – they booked over email – our only meeting a couple of weeks beforehand to finalise all the details!
Carl and Amy chose Morley Hayes as the setting for their wedding, getting married in church first and then on to the reception. My day started with Amy to capture pictures of her getting ready, then on to the church for some pictures of the build up to the wedding. Amy and Carl had a horse and carriage for their transport which made sure that most of their guests were behind them in arriving at the reception (horses are not the fastest form of transport!). But once we got to the reception, drinks and canapes in the wedding garden at Morley Hayes (as well as a little time for a few family groups) followed by the wedding breakfast, speeches and dancing into the evening.
Because Carl and Amy’s timetable was a little tight, we did their portraits in the evening, so you’ll find them towards the end of the slideshow.
Congratulations Carl and Amy!

This was my first wedding at Morley Hayes, but in the future you’ll find more Morley Hayes Weddings in the archives.
