A bit of a trip south for me this weekend (in a literal sense, not metaphorical) all the way down to the big smoke for the wedding of Allan & Irene at Cambridge Cottage in Kew Gardens. A little different to a home wedding (I’ll never curse the traffic in Nottingham again in the same way) but still all good!

Irene is Dutch, so some things were done a little differently at this wedding including the bride and groom travelling together in their mini to the ceremony (with a little ‘will it won’t it’ moment at the start) and a shower of bubbles rather than confetti to greet the guests (actually, I don’t think that’s dutch, but it is a cool idea).

Lee & Gem – Ruddington Grange Wedding Photos

Last time I was at Ruddington Grange it was for a pre-wedding game of golf (alas, the ceremony was elsewhere) I did however get a ride in a golf cart and a bacon sandwich delivered to the 7th green, but that’s another story. No golf carts or bacon sandwiches for the wedding of Gem & Lee at Ruddington Grange golf club – in fact a complete lack of golf, but some excellent purple converse, a day filled with sunshine and friends.

Rex & Jennie – Marquee Wedding, Nottinghamshire

Rex and Jennie were married in the village church where Rex grew up (the village he grew up in, that is, not the church)and then had their wedding reception in a marquee in Rex’s parents (and now Jennie’s parent’s in law!) back garden. A fantastic day filled with lots of love and laughter and set in such personal surroundings!

Angela & Rich – Norwood Park Wedding Photographs

Yesterday we were at the wonderful Norwood Park for Angela and Rich’s wedding, I say ‘we’ because Rob Sanderson came along with me to this wedding to help out. Who’s this Rob Sanderson I hear you ask? Well, he’s a wedding photographer in Liverpool and is pretty handy with flashguns as well as being an all round ‘good egg’.

But enough about us, Angela and Rich were married at Norwood Park, a beautiful venue in Southwell, Notts. As well as being a beautiful building, Norwood Park also has excellent photo opportunities outside. Although it rained a little on the day, we had an opportunity to go outside after the meal and create some wedding portraits with a little ‘oomph!’.

Congrats Rich & Angela – have a fantastic honeymoon!

Ash & Laura – Belton Woods Hotel – Wedding Slideshow

I am a little behind with these slideshows for some reason so will be publishing a few over the next few days, they seem like a long time ago now!

So firstly a slideshow from Ash & Laura’s fantastic Leicestershire / Lincolnshire wedding (started in one, finished in the other). Ash & Laura were married at their local church (as in, very local, literally just down the road) and then after travelling no distance to the church, decided to drive for miles to get to Belton Woods Golf Club and Hotel near Grantham! A beautiful day surrounded by Ash & Laura’s friends and family.

I’m trying out a new format for these slideshows, it means a little less work for me, let me know what you think – you can also find all of the current wedding slideshows over on my brand new Vimeo channel.
